You Can Soon Buy a Baby Yoda Chia Pet

Had your fill of Baby Yoda yet? We didn’t think so. Thanks to Disney+’s The Mandalorian, a recently released Star Wars series, the internet at large seems obsessed with all things Baby Yoda. It started with memes, then plushies and merchandise of all kinds, and now to fully cement Baby Yoda’s place in pulp culture, you can soon buy a Baby Yoda Chia Pet. Unveiled at the New York Toy Fair, “The Child Chia Pet” is on the way thanks to NECA, a company which was in large part responsible for the bobble head craze and has brought about no small number of fun entertainment products ever since. The decorative planter features Baby Yoda popping up from the surrounding greenery with a grin on his adorable little face and those trademark dark eyes we’ve all come to love.

The Child Chia Pet will work just like previous Chia Pets, and will come with seeds and instructions to ensure that you’ll be able to grow some lush greenery in no time. Far more than a forgotten product from the 80s, Chia Pets have experienced a renaissance of sorts, thanks in large part to the Bob Ross Chia Pet which remains popular to this day. No word yet on when The Child Chia Pet will hit the market, but we’re hoping it’ll be sooner rather than later.
